A Blessed Week

Looking back on this past week, I can see nothing but blessings from God.  It all started on Monday as Brian was preparing for our high school Campus Life Club.  He for some reason had not yet planned the lesson/talk for the night and was having a difficult time choosing what to talk about.  Our set curriculum gave him two choices: sex or peer pressure...fun right?!?  Well, later on in the morning he received an email from Pat, one of our Community Support Team members.  He and his wife have been awesome supporters of Campus Life since we began in Gretna.  So, over the weekend God had been working on Pat's heart and through this he really felt led to come share his testimony with the high schoolers.  I don't think it's a coincidence that Brian didn't have anything planned because obviously God had it under control!  So, Monday night he came and shared with our high school students.  His story is one that so many can relate to and every student was locked in and listening so intently.  It was so amazing to see God just work everything out right before our eyes!

The next morning, Brian hopped on a plane to Colorado for some YFCamp training for this summer...and I was stuck in Omaha :) Thankfully I was kept very busy by work and hanging out with my family.  The only day I was a little nervous about was Friday.  This would be the first middle school  Campus Life Brian would miss since we started.  But God showed us again that He had it all under control.  The morning was all planned out so really all I had to do was show up.  It was a great morning where kids got to hear that they are never too clean or too dirty for Jesus to wash their feet and that every one of us needs that cleansing from Him.  We have AMAZING volunteers who were critical in everything going smoothly and I was so happy they were there!

God is so great and He definitely proved that this week!  I was able to see Him provide in awesome ways through Campus Life and even just my own attitude and perspective while Brian was gone.  To say we are blessed is a huge understatement!
